Introducing the Cocktails Scratch Off Poster

I've long been a lover of fine cocktails. When I was younger, my wife, friends and I were known to go to our favorite local bars (like BIG and Daryl's for my Jackson homies) with my hardcover Mr. Boston's recipe book in hand. We would ask bartenders for some of the most ridiculous concoctions. Then we would hit up Super Liquor and fashion our own cocktails back at home.

I had so much fun in those years trying every kind of schnapps, liqueur, spirit, mixer, and so on. Before we had kids it was one of our favorite pastimes.

These days my palette is a bit more refined and I have a long list of favorites. I can make a really good Amaretto Sour, still regularly enjoy a Gin & Tonic, mix up a Whiskey Sour on every special occasion, and never turn down a White Russian. I've learned a few tricks to level up my cocktails whenever I am home bartending and dream about having a more professional home bar one day.

My love for adult beverages has kept a cocktails bucket list poster high on my to-do list for years. Well I finally made it and it turned out great. It might be my new favorite poster.

I now give to you the Quintessential Cocktails Scratch Off Poster.

I spent a lot of time on this one. My goal was to create a really solid list of cocktails which everyone really should try at least once and that bartenders ought to know by heart. Additionally, I wanted to make sure it included useful information like a robust recipe, the traditional vessel, and also the country of origin. Oh, and I tried hard to balance the type of spirits used as the base for variety as well.

My vision was something classy and elegant which is hard to pull off since I am not the greatest graphic designer ever. But I am really happy with my decision to use my new holographic stickers instead of gold or silver to conceal the images. I think it looks slick.

Take a look and tell me what you think!
